Samuel L. Jackson makes unexpected appearance at Louisville game

Samuel L Jackson

Who could have ever anticipated that Samuel L. Jackson would show up at a Louisville game? And who could have ever imagined it would be on the Cardinals bench?

In a hilarious happenstance, wide receiver Traveon Samuel and quarterback Lamar Jackson sat down next to each other in perfect harmony with 12:03 remaining in the first quarter. And what the ACC Regional Sports Network broadcast captured next would immediately go viral.

After the game, Samuel and Jackson got a good laugh out of it, claiming they had never considered that their names spelled out “Samuel L. Jackson” before.

“The Samuel L. Jackson thing?” Jackson told the Courier-Journal. “[Samuel] just showed me in the locker-room. That’s funny. I’ve never thought of that.”

Samuel and Jackson now join a list of other hilarious college football pairings, including West Virginia’s Johnny Dingle and Scooter Berry, Arkansas State’s Jemar Clark and Darion Griswold and UTEP’s Autrey Golden and Jameill Showers.

Hallelujah for college football, am I right?
