A top college football recruit enlisted Snoop Dogg to help him announce his choice of school.
Deshonne Redeaux, a 4-star running back recruit from the class of 2026, announced Saturday that he was committing to his hometown USC Trojans. He did so in a video that featured Snoop Dogg, who did not actually appear but lent his voice to the announcement as part of a mock phone call.

Snoop Dogg notes that Redeaux was a participant in his Snoop Youth Football League, which is how the two became familiar with each other. Snoop himself is a huge Trojans fan and has been seen at USC practices over the years, so his involvement makes plenty of sense even beyond that connection.
Redeaux, from Oaks Christian in Westlake Village, Ca., drew interest from virtually all of the country’s top programs, including Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Oregon, and Texas. He is regarded as a top-100 recruit in the 2026 class and is also a top sprinter.
It is perhaps possible that Redeaux could make a future appearance in Snoop Dogg’s bowl game, though USC will have much higher ambitions than that in the years to come.
