As one of Oklahoma State’s biggest boosters, business magnate T. Boone Pickens is a pretty big deal. He also doesn’t seem to get along with the school’s football coach.
Pickens had some unkind things to say about coach Mike Gundy in a recent podcast appearance with the Austin American-Statesman.
“Mike doesn’t handle people relationships very well,” Pickens said, via Jake Trotter of ESPN. “And he gets mad about things. I’ve heard he’s written some notes about me that weren’t very complimentary.”
Pickens proceeded to offer a statement that wasn’t exactly a ringing vote of confidence in the coach.

It sounds like Pickens is basically saying that he’ll stay out of Gundy’s way if Gundy stays out of his. Moments like this one aren’t helping Gundy’s cause, but this simply appears to be the state of things in Stillwater.
