Twitter reacts to Clemson destroying Alabama in title game

Clemson absolutely handed it to Alabama on Monday night, dominating them in a way nobody else ever had since Nick Saban got Bama rolling.

The Tigers lit up Bama’s defense consistently, spreading the ball around the field thanks to a beautiful performance from Trevor Lawrence and some spectacular catches by their wide receivers. Their defense seemed two steps ahead of the Tide and completely shut them down in the second half, absolutely embarrassing them on fourth-down situations.

Fans and observers were stunned watching the beatdown take place. Look at some of the Twitter reactions to the butt-kicking by Clemson:

The last time Alabama lost by more than 14 points was September 30, 2006, when Chris Leak threw two touchdown passes, Tim Tebow ran for a touchdown and Reggie Nelson had a 70-yard pick-six to beat Alabama 28-13.

I don't think I've ever seen Saban this shook.

We never thought we'd see the day this could be used AGAINST Bama pic.twitter.com/vUjIejKE6E

This is a complete destruction. Shocking, really. U don’t see Bama DOMINATED up front.

Clemson has better coaching. Clemson has the better QB. Clemson is literally better at just about every position on the field than Alabama. Cant say I ever thought I'd see this.

Alabama haters better savor this, because you don’t often see a Nick Saban Alabama team get its head handed to them the way they did on Monday night.
