Two sixth graders already drawing eyes of football recruiters
They’re only in sixth grade, but it’s never too early to start lining up potential landing spots to play college football, especially when you’re 5-foot-11 and 170 pounds.
Running back Tyson Thornton of Springfield, Massachusetts is already showing skills well beyond his years, while fellow New Englander Daron Bryden will need to bulk up his current frame of 5-foot-2, 105 pounds if he ever wants to be taken seriously as a blue chip quarterback — after he picks his high school of course.
The duo are the only two recruits listed among the class of 2021, via Deadspin. Neither have any stars attached to their profile just yet, but perhaps that’s because they are more worried about finding their first kiss.
For what it’s worth, the class of 2020 is still waiting for its first recruit, but the current crop of eighth graders is 16 strong, 11 of whom are already over six feet tall. It must be the milk or something.
