USC QB Miller Moss has four-word message for his doubters
USC quarterback Miller Moss on Monday sent a message directed at his harshest critics.
Moss and the Trojans started the season off strong with an upset win over No. 13 LSU followed by a 48-0 beatdown against Utah State. But since then, USC has lost four of its last five contests.
The last two games were particularly painful with USC choking big second-half leads against No. 4 Penn State and Maryland.
While speaking to reporters on Monday, Moss was asked about fans and media members who have been critical of both Moss and the entire USC squad. Moss said those outside observers have sowed “a lot of negativity” around the team. He had a message for all those people: “Keep that same energy.”

Given USC’s close losses against Michigan, Penn State, and Maryland, there’s a world where the Trojans could have gone 6-1 over their first seven games. But as things stand, there’s not much Moss and USC can do to salvage this season.
USC has a 3-4 record with just five regular season games to go. The Trojans have also gone a miserable 1-4 in conference play, which hasn’t gone unnoticed by USC’s new Big Ten rivals.
Moss once looked like USC’s solution at QB following the departure of Caleb Williams. But after middling performances over the last few weeks, Moss clearly has some work to do to get back in Trojans fans’ good graces.
Through seven games this season, Moss has thrown for 1,954 yards with 14 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. He has a completion rate of 64.4%.
