Gina Carano may still stay in shape by training in MMA, but you can pretty much kiss off chances of her returning to the octagon any time soon. That’s because the fighter-turned-actor has been landing movie roles left and right. Her latest coup includes a role in an upcoming superhero movie entitled “Deadpool.”
The Hollywood Reporter says Carano will co-star in the movie alongside Ryan Reynolds, who will play the lead, which is based on a Marvel character. Carano will play the role of “Angel Dust.”
In addition to “Deadpool,” Carano has recently starred in upcoming movies “Bus 657” and another version of “Kickboxer.” She will also star in “Extraction” alongside Bruce Willis prior to filming Deadpool.
Carano has now locked up big roles in nine movies since 2009. Her last professional fight was a loss to Cyborg in Aug. 2009.
