Top pro darts player Luke Littler made a full-on heel turn on Monday after getting a ton of heat from disgruntled fans.
The 18-year-old Littler has long been the golden boy of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) due to his immense success as a teenager. But few backed him in his PDC World Championship matchup against Rob Cross in front of a capacity crowd at Alexandra Palace in London, England.
Littler, the PDC’s No. 1 player, outlasted Cross, a former World Champion himself, in a 4-2 contest that nearly went into a deciding set. Boos rained after Littler’s win, which led to an opportunity for him to show off his skills with the mic.
“I’m not bothered, really, I’m really not bothered,” Littler told Sky Sports reporter Polly James.
“Can I say one thing, you guys pay for tickets that you pay for my prize money, so thank you, thank you for my money! Thank you for booing me, thank you, come on!”

That’s a promo that would make Vince McMahon smile. Fans and media members alike were also quick to appreciate Littler’s heel turn.

Littler, nicknamed “The Nuke,” even had the facial expressions and hand gestures of a top-shelf WWE heel. The way he seemed to call out the crowd spontaneously to insult them was the cherry on top.
The best part about the whole thing is that it wasn’t scripted — Littler truly was upset at the crowd that once cheered for him as the young king of professional darts.
Littler’s win on Monday landed him a spot in the tournament’s quarterfinals. One can only imagine the promo he’d cut if he wins the whole thing.
