Photographer snaps incredible photo of ‘phantom’ football star
Dallas Morning News staff photographer Jae Lee has pretty good timing. He captured the gem below at a Friday night football game between high school powerhouses Evangel Christian Academy (Shreveport, La.) and Allen High School (Allen, Texas).

What an awesome shot.
At first glance, it looks like Evangel Christian is getting some extra help from a phantom 12th man. The more likely scenario, though, is that Allen knocked off the helmet of Tanner Coleman (No. 62, Evangel Christian) during a block and the Dallas photog caught it at just the right moment — completely upright while sailing toward the quarterback, making it look like Evangel’s got a ghost on its side. Bonus points for the fact that the helmet also appears to be sitting just about perfectly on the head of the fan wearing orange in the background.
Sadly, Evangel Christian may be wishing they did have the extra help. Allen beat them by thirty-five points to walk away with a 45-10 win.
