Shaun White admits to sending graphic texts, says it wasn’t sexual harassment
Shaun White admits that he sent some disturbing text messages to the former drummer of his rock band, but the famous snowboarder insists they were merely jokes among close friends.
In a statement issued through his lawyer, White said Lena Zawaideh’s sexual harassment lawsuit against him is “bogus.”
“Many years ago, I exchanged texts with a friend who is now using them to craft a bogus lawsuit,” White said, via TMZ. “There is absolutely no coincidence to the timing of her claims, and we will defend them vigorously in court.”
TMZ obtained screenshots of some of the messages White sent to Zawaideh, and the content of many of them is extremely graphic. Zawaideh became the drummer of White’s band, Bad Things White, in 2008 but says she was fired after a tour in 2014.
