49ers standout suffers concerning practice injury
Just when the San Francisco 49ers felt like they were starting to get healthy, one of their key players appears to have suffered an injury setback.
49ers coach Kyle Shanahan revealed Friday that pass rusher Nick Bosa suffered a hip pointer during Wednesday’s practice. The coach admitted that there is at least some concern about Bosa’s status for Sunday when they face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
On DE Nick Bosa, Kyle Shanahan said Bosa got a hip pointer in practice Wednesday.
Shanahan said he was concerned about Bosa's status for Sunday "to a degree."
“He wasn't able to do a lot. He definitely was extremely limited. Hoping he'll be alright, but we'll see on Sunday.”

Bosa has been putting up his usual solid numbers this season, with 4.5 sacks in eight games. He appears unlikely to match his best seasons in terms of sack output, but he remains a major threat that opposing offenses have to account for.
The good news is the Niners are getting one big piece back from injury this week. They will hope they are not losing Bosa at the same time, though.
