San Francisco 49ers running back Jerick McKinnon’s horrible injury luck continues, and will cost him another full season.

The 49ers placed McKinnon on season-ending IR Saturday, ensuring that he will miss a second consecutive season due to knee problems.

49ers placed RB Jerick McKinnon on season-ending IR with his latest knee issues, per source. McKinnon cannot be brought back this season and is now out for the year.

McKinnon signed a four-year deal with the 49ers in 2018, and the first two years of that will be a lost cause now. He tore his ACL prior to the start of the 2018 season. That knee flared up again during preseason in 2019, and it was reported that he may need another procedure to correct the issue.

McKinnon has 1,918 rushing yards over four seasons, all with the Minnesota Vikings.
