Aaron Rodgers got brutally honest about the Steelers’ offense

The Pittsburgh Steelers moved to 2-1 on Sunday with a win over the New England Patriots, but quarterback Aaron Rodgers was not impressed.

Rodgers was highly critical of how Pittsburgh’s offense played Sunday in a 21-14 victory at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Ma. In a postgame interview with Evan Washburn of CBS Sports, Rodgers credited the Steelers’ defense for the win and had a scathing review of the offense.

“They came out and played incredible,” Rodgers said of the defense. “We were terrible on offense after the first two drives. I didn’t have a good game, but the defense, every time, kept us in it.

“We’ve got to get in the film room and get better, because we can’t have our defense save it for us every week.”

The Steelers scored on their first two drives, then went quiet after that. Rodgers went 16/23 for 139 yards with two touchdowns and an interception, and Pittsburgh had just 203 total yards as a team. Their defense forced five New England turnovers, which was the difference in the game.

Things have not clicked for the Steelers yet, and Rodgers has already been fairly critical of the offense before. The team is still 2-1, but they will need to be much better going forward.
