The Detroit Lions will host another home playoff game in the Divisional Round after they advanced with a win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night, but Aidan Hutchinson says his team was more than ready to go on the road if they had to.

After the Lions beat the Rams 24-23, Hutchinson was asked how excited he is that his team gets to play at Ford Field in Detroit again next week. The star pass-rusher said he and his teammates are thrilled about it, though they were hoping for a revenge game against the Dallas Cowboys.

“I think we all wanted Dallas again, but the fact that we’re back here, it’s a blessing,” Hutchinson said.

It is hardly a surprise that Lions players were thinking about a rematch with Dallas. The two teams met in Week 17, and the Cowboys barely pulled out a 20-19 victory after a controversial penalty was called on Detroit’s late 2-point conversion attempt.

The Cowboys were the No. 2 seed in the NFC, but they were blown out at home by the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. As a result, the Lions will host the winner of Monday night’s game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers next week.
