Miami Dolphins defensive lineman Akeem Spence lost his cool and paid the price for it on Sunday.
Spence was ejected from Miami’s game against the Oakland Raiders after ripping an Oakland player’s helmet off during a post-play scuffle.
Akeem Spence has been ejected from the game for ripping Kelechi Osemele's face mask off. He then hit another Raider in the head with it, but it wasn't a swing of the helmet. That one could have been accidental.

Spence’s actions came at a time when the Dolphins couldn’t really afford to be weakened. Defensive lineman William Hayes had left the game due to injury and was considered questionable to return, so after Spence’s ejection, Miami was playing down two defensive linemen.
Spence’s penalty also wiped out what would have been a drive-ending sack by Cameron Wake. Everything about it was dumb and poorly-timed.
