Amari Cooper wants to stay with Cowboys
One of the looming questions about the Dallas Cowboys’ offseason is the future of wide receiver Amari Cooper. He had been a big boost to the team’s passing game after first arriving, but has been met with more criticism this season.
Cooper, however, made clear when asked Friday that he preferred to remain with the Cowboys going forward.
Amari Cooper needed no hesitation when asked today about his future with Cowboys.
"I want to be here."

One reason Amari Cooper's happy with Cowboys: Dak Prescott.
"That is part of me liking it," Amari said. "My situation on the team, him being the quarterback, the teammates, where I live. Everything."

Cooper has reasons to prefer staying in Dallas. He’s the unquestioned No. 1 wide receiver there and has grown quite comfortable in that role. He has eight touchdowns and has surpassed 1,000 yards receiving for the second consecutive year.
However, in recent weeks, Cooper hasn’t been nearly as effective. That includes being benched late in a pivotal game, reportedly due to his poor performance. With that in mind, it remains to be seen if the Cowboys are as eager to keep Cooper as he is to stay there.
