Andrew Hawkins calls out ESPN for lack of diversity in Father’s Day tweet
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Andrew Hawkins, who is the father of an adorable young boy named Austin, did not appreciate the way ESPN wished the NFL a “Happy Father’s Day” on Sunday.
Here’s the response Hawkins had to a collage of photos that the official ESPN NFL Twitter account shared:
You get a D for diversity RT @ESPNNFL: Happy Father's Day to all the NFL Dads out there. pic.twitter.com/AfIU8wZ3KN

While we doubt there was any ill intent on the part of ESPN, the NFL is made up of nearly 70 percent black players. Despite that, only one of the eight photos in the Father’s Day tweet showed a black player and his son.
Not to mention, Hawkins’ son went viral last season when he posted these hilarious videos of the 2-year-old on social media. Hawkins was probably feeling a bit left out after that.
