Antonio Cromartie wants to play for Cowboys
Antonio Cromartie has yet to find a home for the 2016 season, but the veteran cornerback knows where he wants to end up.
In a brief chat with TMZ over the weekend, Cromartie opted against the “I’ll go wherever they want me” response when asked which team he would like to play for.
“My dream choice would be the Dallas Cowboys,” he said. “That’d be my dream choice to be with them, but we’ll see what happens.”
Cromartie also mentioned that he had spoken to Michael Irving on Twitter about the possibility of signing with Dallas. That was roughly a month ago:
@michaelirvin88 I'm ready to come to the Cowboys.

After not recording an interception for the first time in his career, Cromartie was released by the New York Jets. There have been reports that he is willing to return to the Jets for less money, but it doesn’t sound like that is going to happen. Cromartie also visited with one of his old coaches this offseason.
The Cowboys were reportedly interested in Pacman Jones at one point, but he re-signed with the Cincinnati Bengals. Cromartie would fit the same prototype as a physical, veteran corner.
