Antonio Cromartie and his wife Terricka are planning to take an extra step to make sure the twins they are pregnant with are the last children the couple has together.
On Thursday, Terricka told the New York Post that she intends to have her tubes tied after giving birth to twins.
“After this set I am definitely getting my tubes tied because I am just satisfied with my three,” Terricka said. “These two are a blessing and I am getting a little bit older. So I don’t want to be carrying a baby anymore.”
The twins will be the couple’s third and fourth children, and the way they were conceived is somewhat of a shock. Antonio had a vasectomy a couple years back, but it apparently did not do the trick.
As many of you know, Cromartie already has 10 children by several different women. He once infamously struggled to remember all of their names (video here), and moments like that have led to a hefty amount of criticism. Terricka says the couple tunes it out.
“People are going to talk, regardless, with speculations in regards to how, when and why,” she said. “But at the end of the day, we made the decision not to have any more children, and then we were blessed with this blessing and people hate on your blessing regardless of what it is.”
One vasectomy and a tube-tying should be enough to prevent anymore little seedlings from sprouting, but I guess you never know. The Jets cornerback is always going to deal with comments like this no matter how many more children he has.
