Antonio Gates and Philip Rivers got into it on the sidelines during the San Diego Chargers’ game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
Video showed Gates yelling at Rivers and Rivers trying to calm down his longtime teammate:
The Chargers are in the middle of their worst season since having both players on their roster. Their previous worst season was a 7-9 record in 2012, and they entered Week 11 2-7 and last in the AFC West.
The team’s losing and poor play is undoubtedly an issue for both players, though it’s unclear exactly what was at the root of the problems.
