Aqib Talib: Broncos’ offense is 10 times better than last year’s

Aqib Talib

The Denver Broncos won the Super Bowl last season, and that was with an offense many considered to be sub-par. So how much better of a team are they this season then if cornerback Aqib Talib thinks the offense is 10-times better this year?

In an interview with Nate Kreckman and Tom Nalen on Altitude Sports 950 AM in Denver, Talib shared his thoughts on this year’s offense.

“Honestly, from the sideline, in my opinion our offense looks 10 times better this year,” Talib told the hosts. “Them guys are playing good football in my eyes. They’re turning the ball over a little in the red zone. Clean that up and they’ll be 10 times better. They can only go up. But I see a bunch of improvement on the offensive side of the ball.”

The Broncos had both Peyton Manning and Brock Osweiler at quarterback last season and have Trevor Siemian playing QB this season. Most would not have expected the offense to be better under a 7th-round pick. But through two games, Denver is 2-0 and has scored 55 points offensively, to go along with 707 yards. The defense remains the strength of the team, but the Broncos are ninth in the league in points scored and 16th in total yards. Last season’s team ranked 19th and 16th in the same categories. Maybe Talib is right and Denver’s offense is slightly improved from last season, which means the Broncos should be a championship contender once again.
