Mike Jones of USA Today reported that Mayfield was very impressive in interviews with teams, with one executive full of praise for the former Oklahoma Sooners quarterback.

Mayfield has faced some unflattering comparisons to Johnny Manziel because of his demeanor, and teams were definitely looking forward to the chance to talk to him to get a read on him. It sounds like those who did have come away impressed, which should only help him ahead of next month’s NFL Draft.
It’s worth noting, however, that Manziel aced his interview process as well. Teams will certainly be aware of that and take Mayfield’s interviews in context.
