Bashaud Breeland brutal pass interference helps Titans expand lead

Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Bashaud Breeland made a silly and needless mistake to help keep a Tennessee Titans drive alive, and it led directly to a touchdown.
Trailing 10-7, the Chiefs had the Titans in a 3rd and 22 situation at the Kansas City 25. Barring a disaster, it looked likely they would hold the Titans to a field goal and get the Kansas City offense back on the field down six.
Breeland, however, grabbed a huge fistful of Corey Davis’ jersey on the 3rd down play, leading to a pass interference call and an automatic first down.

This hold happened nowhere near the marker, and Davis was no threat to make a catch and get the 22 yards required for a first down. It’s just a rash and silly mistake from a player who should have known better, and it led to this touchdown catch by offensive lineman Dennis Kelly. Fortunately, the Chiefs recovered and took the lead before halftime.
