Ben McAdoo reportedly will continue calling plays for Giants

Ben McAdoo

Ben McAdoo will continue to call plays for the New York Giants, at least through Week 3.

The Giants’ offense has struggled immensely this season as they’ve only scored one touchdown in two games. Searching for answers following Monday night’s loss to Detroit, McAdoo said he would consider giving up playcalling duties on the team.

However, NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport says McAdoo will call plays in the Giants’ Week 3 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Rapoport said the coaches turned up the intensity this week ahead of their divisional game.

If the Giants’ offense struggles for a third consecutive game, perhaps a change will be made. But for now, it sounds like New York will keep McAdoo in his continued role.

McAdoo is in his second season as Giants head coach following two years as the team’s offensive coordinator.
