Ben McAdoo: Odell Beckham needs to control his emotions more

New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo says that wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. needs to do more to control his emotions.

Beckham is known for his outward shows of emotion on the field, such as on Sunday when he got upset about an interception and nearly hurt himself by pushing a net (video here). At one point TV cameras also showed him appearing to have tears in his eyes.

McAdoo wants Beckham to curb some of that.

“Emotionally on the sideline in between the series, he needs to do a better job,” McAdoo said Monday via NJ.com. “That’s all of our responsibilities, mine included. But he needs to control his emotions better and be less of a distraction to himself and his teammates. It’s our job to help him with that process.”

The Giants lost the Week 3 contest 29-27 to Washington. Beckham led his team with seven catches for 121 yards on 11 targets.
