Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix did not shy away from some confrontation during Tuesday’s practice.
Nix and teammate Nik Bonitto got into it during practice, which started after Nix took a sack and was taken to the ground by Bonitto. Several plays later, Nix intervened in a pileup and pulled Bonitto off it by the leg.

HUGE pile on the ground.
Bo Nix (angry from getting sacked and taken to the ground earlier) grabbed Nik Bonitto’s leg and pulled him off the pile.
Nik then got very angry and was held back by multiple teammates.
After practice, Nix had no regrets.
“I love it. It’s football. It’s getting me ready for the games coming up,” Nix said.
Bo Nix was pushed down on a sack after the pocket collapsed from Nik Bonitto, Jonathon Cooper and Malcolm Roach.

Training camp fights are not uncommon, even between teammates. However, the quarterback usually stays out of the way to avoid unnecessary risk. That is even more true of Nix, who is coming off ankle surgery in the offseason.
There is no reason to believe Nix and Bonitto will have any lingering issues as a result of this. The Broncos, however, may want to have a few words with their quarterback about avoiding such physical confrontations given his importance to the team.
