Tim Tebow. Brandon Marshall. Josh McCown. The No. 15 jersey with the New York Jets is just being passed on from legend to legend.
McCown was signed by the Jets last month and will be competing with Christian Hackenberg and Bryce Petty for the starting quarterback job. He also is wearing No. 15 with the team, which used to belong to Marshall, who is now with the Giants.
Upon learning about McCown’s number choice, Marshall teased his former teammate on Twitter:

McCown and Marshall were teammates on the Bears in 2012 and 2013, so that’s just a friendly ribbing from Marshall. Now it’s on McCown to uphold the tradition of playing at a high level while wearing that jersey number for Gang Green.
