Brandon Marshall will not be playing out the remainder of his three-year contract if the New York Jets win the Super Bowl next season.
While answering some questions from Twitter followers Tuesday night, Marshall was asked if he is ready to finally hoist the Vince Lombardi Trophy over his head next year. If that happens, Marshall says it would mark the end of his NFL career.

Marshall is under contract with the Jets through 2017, and he has already said that he has no intention of playing for another team. It would be difficult to imagine the Jets, who still need to re-sign Ryan Fitzpatrick or find another quarterback, winning it all in 2016. Therefore, it’s likely that Marshall at least plays out his current deal.
Given the way he played last season, there’s no reason to believe Marshall doesn’t have at least a couple good years left in him. He made his goals perfectly clear with these comments about the Pro Bowl, so we don’t doubt winning a championship is Marshall’s top priority.
