Former NFL wide receiver Braylon Edwards was arrested in Arizona last week for driving while under the influence, and he was more than a little buzzed.
According to TMZ, Edwards was popped in Scottsdale, Ariz., driving with a blood alcohol level that was over .20, which is more than twice the legal limit. The DUI arrest was the 32-year-old’s second in five years.
The last time Edwards was arrested for drunk driving was when he was with the New York Jets in 2010. His blood alcohol level was roughly twice the legal limit that time, so obviously Edwards did not learn his lesson.
Edwards’ tumble from the top of the NFL receiver ranks was incredibly rapid. He burst onto the scene with the Cleveland Browns in his third NFL season in 2007, when he caught 80 passes for 1,289 yards and a whopping 16 touchdowns. It was all downhill from there, and Edwards never found work after playing 13 games with the Jets and Seattle Seahawks in 2012.
