Bret Bielema reportedly hired by Giants
Former Wisconsin and Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema is reportedly joining the staff of the New York Giants.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Giants and Bielema are still finalizing the role he’ll play on the team’s defensive staff, but he will be joining under new head coach Joe Judge.
The #Giants are hiring former #Patriots DL coach Bret Bielema for a spot on their staff, source said. They are still finalizing details and his eventual role. As Joe Judge builds his staff, he’s adding more experience.

The 50-year-old Bielema is 97-58 as a college head coach. He has spent the last two years as part of the New England Patriots staff, where he worked alongside Judge.
Bielema had been previously linked to the Giants’ defensive coordinator position. That post has since been filled by Patrick Graham, but Judge clearly wanted Bielema on his staff anyway in a different role.
