Brian Hoyer suffered concussion; TJ Yates preparing to start
Houston Texans quarterback Brian Hoyer reportedly suffered a concussion during Sunday night’s loss to the New England Patriots.
This would be Hoyer’s second head injury in less than a month, as he missed Houston’s Nov. 22 game against the New York Jets after suffering a concussion during a win over the Cincinnati Bengals the week before.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that the Texans are preparing for backup QB TJ Yates to make another start next weekend.

Hoyer was sacked five times Sunday night and met with the training staff on the sideline several times. He has been diagnosed with four concussions in his career dating back to high school, and the latest would be Hoyer’s fifth.
