There has been a lot of talk about Myles Garrett going No. 1 in the NFL Draft to the Cleveland Browns, but apparently that’s no lock.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter communicated with an NFL executive who believes the team is considering taking a quarterback with the top overall pick.
Just had an NFL exec tell me, "Don't be surprised if Myles Garrett isn't the No. 1 pick." Exec convinced a QB is in discussion at No. 1.

The Browns are desperate for a QB and haven’t had one play at a Pro Bowl level since Derek Anderson in 2007. Their inability to find someone reliable at quarterback is probably the biggest reason why they’ve only had one winning season since 2002. Tim Couch wasn’t the answer, nor were Brandon Weeden, Johnny Manziel, or whomever else they’ve taken in the draft.
If the Browns are seriously considering a quarterback at No. 1 overall, Deshaun Watson and Mitchell Trubisky figure to be in the conversation. Schefter says the team is split regarding the top pick, with some liking Garrett, and others thinking Trubisky should be the guy.
In addition to the top overall pick, the Browns also have the No. 12 pick and could consider a quarterback at that spot if they take Garrett first. A previous report has said they are looking at Watson and Jonathan Allen in addition to Trubisky and Garrett for the top pick.
