Browns GM John Dorsey spent first round of draft messing with rival GMs

The Cleveland Browns did not have a pick in the first round of this year’s draft after they sent it to the New York Giants as part of a trade for Odell Beckham Jr, which meant general manager John Dorsey had a little extra free time on his hands while those 32 picks were being made. If getting under the skin of your counterparts is part of Dorsey’s job description, he spent the time wisely.
Dorsey is good friends with Indianapolis Colts GM Chris Ballard from their time together with the Kansas City Chiefs, and he has a tradition of calling Ballard every year when Indy’s on the clock to mess with him. Dorsey continued that this year.

Apparently Ballard is not the only one Dorsey gets a kick out of harassing. In the latest installment of “Cardinals Flight Plan,” Arizona GM Steve Keim was shown fielding a similar call from Dorsey during the first round this year.
John Dorsey didn't have a first round pick this year. So what did he do during the first round?

Dorsey is a well-liked guy who can take it and dish it out, which we saw with the hilarious impersonation Baker Mayfield did of him last year. Teams have enough going on when they’re on the clock during the NFL Draft, but leave it to Dorsey to give them one more thing to think about.
