Browns WR Josh Gordon out for Week 2 with hamstring injury

Josh Gordon

The Cleveland Browns will be without one of their top weapons for their Week 2 game at New Orleans.

Josh Gordon will miss the game due to a hamstring injury, the team announced.

The news sort of came out of nowhere. Though he dealt with a hamstring issue before the season, Gordon was not listed on the injury report this week and had practiced all week prior to Saturday’s sudden announcement.

Gordon had a 17-yard touchdown catch in the team’s first game of the season, a tie with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Quarterback Tyrod Taylor will likely continue to build on his connection with Jarvis Landry, who had 7 catches for 106 yards in the opener. David Njoku, who had 3 catches for 13 yards, figures to see more action.
