A Cleveland Browns reporter has gone viral on social media after he was caught on camera seemingly mocking Dillon Gabriel’s height.
On Saturday, Gabriel spoke to reporters before Day 2 of the Browns’ rookie minicamp at CrossCountry Mortgage Campus in Berea, Ohio. As the Browns quarterback left the podium, Akron Beacon Journal reporter Chris Easterling made his way onto stage.
Easterling may have been oblivious to the camera still being on. He was caught repeatedly mouthing a four-word slight directed at Gabriel.
“I’m taller than him! I’m taller than him!” Easterling appeared to say to people off camera.

There has long been uncertainty surrounding Gabriel’s true height. During his time at Oregon, Gabriel was listed at six feet. But both his NFL draft combine measurements and the Browns’ team website have him at just 5’11”. Either way, Gabriel is by far the shortest member of the Browns’ 5-man quarterback room.
The reporter may have been trying to confirm, using himself as a measuring stick, what Gabriel’s true height actually is. Fans, however, were not happy with Easterling. Many of them slammed the veteran reporter over what they believed to be an unprofessional act.

Some even questioned if Easterling was actually taller than Gabriel at all.
Yet, clearly, he wasn't. As Gabriel passed him, you could see the difference. And yeah, Gabriel was a minimum of 75# lighter.

Gabriel made waves on Saturday with his reaction to the Browns drafting Shedeur Sanders after him. The rookie QB will probably be able to shake this slight off as well.
