The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one of eight teams eligible to appear on HBO’s “Hard Knocks” this year, and they are bracing for the possibility of being chosen, according to a report.
The Tampa Bay Times’ Rick Stroud says the Bucs have told the league they will cooperate if selected, but they’re looking for an answer soon about whether they will be picked.
Teams that have not made the playoffs in the past two seasons, do not have a new head coach, and have not appeared on the show in a decade are candidates for selection for the HBO program that follows teams around for training camp. The Bucs fit the bill.
Other teams eligible to appear on “Hard Knocks” this year include the Bears, Browns, Colts, Eagles, Ravens, Saints and Titans.
