Caitlin Clark admitted Tuesday that she is not built the same way as LeBron James.
The Indiana Fever star was one of thousands of people who came across ESPN’s Instagram post on Tuesday about LeBron James cutting out some of his favorite things ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season.
James shared that he “needed to give up something” in preparation for his 23rd season. He ended up eliminating wine and chocolate chip cookies from his diet.
The sacrifice sounded like too much for Clark to bear. The Iowa alum took to the comments to admit she wasn’t strong enough to make the same sacrifices for the sake of her career.
“I’d rather retire than do this. This is why he’s him,” Clark commented.

It’s no surprise that the WNBA’s most famous “CC” is a huge fan of the classic chocolate chip. But given that she’s just a couple of years into her pro career, she can probably still down a couple of cookies during the season and still perform at a high level.
James simply operates under a different set of rules to stay ahead of Father Time. Those cookies would do a lot more damage to a 41-year-old James than to a 24-year-old Clark.
