Cam Newton won’t dab next season, will think of new dance
Cam Newton helped turn “The Dab” into a viral sensation during his MVP season in 2015, but we have apparently seen the last of it from the Carolina Panthers quarterback.
In an interview with WFNZ Radio in Charlotte on Thursday, Newton revealed that he will not be dabbing next season after scoring touchdowns. He will, however, come up with something new.
“I have to put that aside,” Newton said. “I have time. I have until September to figure it out.”
Newton’s obsession with dancing on the field is one of the reasons people have been critical of him for not being humble. He even dabbed in the end zone during a playoff game while everyone else on the field was in a scuffle. You can see that video here.
Whatever Newton comes up with for the 2016 season, we can be sure of one thing — a lot of people will hate it.
