San Francisco 49ers running back Carlos Hyde suffered a shoulder injury in a Week 6 loss to the Buffalo Bills, and he still may not be ready to take the field against the New Orleans Saints this Sunday.
Hyde indicated on Thursday that he’s dealing with a sprained AC joint in his shoulder and isn’t sure if he’ll be able to take the field in the Week 9 contest against New Orleans, per Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle.

The 25-year-old Hyde sat out San Francisco’s Week 7 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and had the team’s Week 8 bye to heal up further. But a sprained AC joint would indicate a more worrisome injury concern, meaning that the status of Hyde, who has 429 rushing yards and six touchdowns on the season, may truly be up in the air for Week 9.
