CeeDee Lamb offers brutal quote about facing Micah Parsons

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb offered a pretty brutal assessment of how he fears things will go when his team lines up against Micah Parsons this season.

Lamb praised Parsons as “unstoppable” in his first public comments about the Cowboys’ decision to trade the star pass rusher to the Green Bay Packers. When asked about facing Parsons in Week 4, Lamb did not exactly sound confident that his team would be up to the task of stopping Parsons.

“It’s gonna be weird. It’s gonna be conflicting. I hope he is not in the backfield in two seconds,” Lamb said, via Jon Machota of The Athletic.

One can assume Parsons will be extra motivated when he returns to AT&T Stadium in Week 4. At that point, it might not matter how capable Dallas’ pass protection is. He is the type of player that can disrupt even the best offensive lines.

Lamb’s comments are not quite as optimistic as those made by Dak Prescott, who tried to put a positive spin on the move. However, it does seem that even the Cowboys’ own players are not buying Jerry Jones’ assertion that the Parsons deal will make them a better team.

Parsons, 26, missed four games last season due to a high-ankle sprain. He still finished with 12 sacks, which was the lowest total of his four-year career. It is easy to see why his former teammates will not exactly be looking forward to seeing him on the other side of the field.
