Chandler Jones is expected to miss about a month after suffering a hip injury against the New York Jets last Thursday, The Boston Globe’s Shalise Manza Young reports.
Jones did not practice with the Pats on Tuesday due to the injury, which was sustained in the first half. The Globe’s Ben Volin says that despite the injury, Jones still played 84 of 87 snaps during the game.
Jones appeared to get hurt on a Geno Smith scramble in the second quarter and missed a few plays. The video at the top shared by Volin shows Jones returning after missing two plays, and he did not seem to be at full strength.
NESN’s Doug Kyed even pointed out that Jones was not celebrating after the team’s blocked field goal to seal the victory, which was another indication of the injury:
