Was Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith upset that the team traded up to draft a possible replacement? He did, at the very least, have some advance warning.

This may seem like a pretty obvious course of action, but it doesn’t always happen. The Chiefs likely have a plan for their quarterback situation, and they’ve gone over it with Smith, their incumbent starter. They look to be taking steps to ensure the whole thing goes as smoothly as possible.
