Chip Kelly has been fired by fans and analysts this season more times than he can count, but that does not mean he is going anywhere.
On Monday, Peter King of Sports Illustrated told “The Dan Patrick Show” that Kelly is still determined to turn things around in Philadelphia and that he believes he will be with the Eagles next season.

The news we heard out of USC Monday morning certainly makes that seem more likely, as the Trojans have named interim head coach Clay Helton their permanent coach. It would not be a surprise if USC reached out to Kelly first and Kelly said he wasn’t interested.
The Eagles have been downright horrendous their last two games, yet they are somehow just a game behind the 4-6 Redskins and 4-6 Giants for the lead in the NFC East.
If what one player’s agent recent said about the team quitting on Kelly is true, that is obviously a major concern. But that doesn’t mean Chip wants to go back to college, and there is at least one NFL coaching job that could be available to him this winter. It sounds like he wants to remain at the NFL level.
