Chip Kelly dropped an absolute gem of a quote on Thursday when talking about the Florida Gators head coaching job.
Kelly was mentioned as a person of interest for the Gators during the school’s search to replace Will Muschamp. The former Oregon head coach explicitly stated that he was not interested in leaving the Eagles for Gainesville, and the program eventually hired Colorado State head coach Jim McElwain.
After McElwain was hired, Kelly was asked by the local media why he wasn’t interested in the position. His quote was tremendous:

That quote of course is a reference to the criticism Kelly faced before taking the Eagles job. Many people wondered whether his offense could work in the pros.
