Christian McCaffrey has message for his critics with highlight video
Christian McCaffrey has been doubted plenty since the Carolina Panthers drafted him with the No. 8 overall pick back in 2017, and he seems to be sending a message to all his critics following an outstanding sophomore season.
On Sunday, McCaffrey shared a highlight video on Twitter that began with Jason Whitlock saying he is “destroying the stereotype that a white tailback can’t be electrifying, elusive and a playmaker.” His choice of emoji was noteworthy.

In other words, McCaffrey feels he let his play do all the talking in 2018. After they seemingly limited his touches last season, the Panthers took the training wheels off McCaffrey. He responded with 1,096 yards rushing and a 5.0 yards per carry average to go along with 867 yards receiving. The former Stanford star scored 13 total touchdowns.
Early in the year, McCaffrey admitted that some of the things that have been said about his style of play bother him. His performance this past season proved he is more than capable of being a featured back, and you can’t blame him for wanting to say, “I told you so.”
