Colts S Mike Adams more worried about getting a– beat by Patriots than Deflategate

Indianapolis Colts safety Mike Adams has his priorities in order, which is to say he is more concerned with his team getting demolished in the AFC Championship Game by the New England Patriots 45-7 than what kind of footballs the Pats were using.

“It’s over,” safety Mike Adams said via ESPN. “We don’t have to deal with it anymore. [The Patriots] have to deal with it. I’m more worried that we got our asses beat than deflated footballs.”

The Colts had an open locker room at the team’s facility Wednesday and knew they would be faced with questions about the controversy. Head coach Chuck Pagano advised his players to put the issue behind them, which led to responses such as Adams’ and that of tight end Dwayne Allen, who expressed a similar sentiment.

“We focus on what happened on the field,” Allen said via ESPN’s Mike Wells. “We care about the simple fact that they were able to go out there and manhandle us. And they have been for the last three years. We have to grow and become tougher.”

That’s really all they can say. Keep in mind that it was a 17-7 game at the half and the Patriots outscored the Colts 28-0 in the second half using properly inflated footballs.

Illegal balls or not, the Patriots just owned Indy in that game.
