Report: Colts expected to make offers to Nick Saban, Sean Payton
Chuck Pagano is most likely coaching his last game with the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, and all signs point to the team making a serious attempt to replace him with a big name.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Colts are expected to make offers to Sean Payton and Nick Saban if and when their coaching search begins.
Assuming #Colts part ways with Chuck Pagano, they'll think big on coaches. Expected to make Nick Saban & Sean Payton say no before moving on

That pretty much confirms what we have been hearing for the past several months. Colts owner Jim Irsay is going to have the final say over who gets the job, and he is reportedly looking to make a big splash. The question is whether Saban or Payton are willing to leave their current situations.
Alabama obviously won’t want to part ways with Saban, and the school has a history of sweetening his deal in situations like this. Plus, the recent comments Saban made indicate he has no intention of giving the NFL another shot.
Payton supposedly has interest in NFL jobs outside New Orleans, but the Saints might be looking for draft pick compensation if he goes to another team. Plus, Drew Brees recently tried to squash any of those rumors.
All that said, nothing is going to stop the Colts from trying.
