Report: Cowboys still making no real effort to acquire Earl Thomas
If Earl Thomas was hoping his holdout would grease the wheels for a move out of Seattle, it doesn’t appear to be working.
According to ESPN’s Josina Anderson, there is nothing new going on with Thomas as far as the Dallas Cowboys are concerned, even though Thomas still doesn’t want to report to Seahawks camp.
League source on what's the latest on Dallas' tab on S Earl Thomas, "nothing." Followed up with, why is Seattle not budging, they said, "he doesn't want to report there I guess." #NFLHoldouts

Despite constant rumors of mutual interest, the Cowboys have never really taken any steps to try to take Thomas off Seattle’s hands. There are many indications, in fact, that there’s more smoke than fire to the Thomas talk, even though he himself started it late last season. Ultimately, Dallas doesn’t appear to be in hot pursuit, but that’s no consolation for Seattle, who don’t appear any closer to solving Thomas’s contract situation.
