Ex-NFL RB Damien Williams arrested for allegedly assaulting pregnant woman
Former NFL running back Damien Williams was recently arrested and charged with battery of a pregnant woman.
Ryan Yousefi of Coconut Creek Talk obtained records from the Coconut Police Department that show Williams was arrested on Jan. 22 following an alleged domestic dispute. Officers were called to a residence and found a woman with visible injuries that included scratch marks, bruising on her arms and redness on her neck.
The alleged victim told police that she is 10 weeks pregnant with Williams’ child, though Williams was not aware.
The police report states that the argument began over a disagreement about the dog that Williams and the woman share. Williams is accused of grabbing the woman by the neck and getting physical with her during the argument.
Williams was arrested and taken to Broward County Main Jail, where he was charged with battery of a pregnant woman.
Williams began his career with the Miami Dolphins in 2014. He spent four seasons with the team before signing with the Kansas City Chiefs. Williams was much more productive in Kansas City and helped the team win a Super Bowl in 2019.
