Dan Quinn had the best live reaction to Jayden Daniels’ unreal Hail Mary

Commanders head coach Dan Quinn celebrating

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels on Sunday made arguably the touchdown pass of the season. His head coach Dan Quinn also delivered one of the best sideline reactions of the year.

The Commanders trailed the Chicago Bears 15-12 and were at midfield with just seconds to play at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Md. After dancing around defenders with the clock at zero, Daniels launched a Hail Mary into a scrum of players near the end zone. The ball was deflected into the hands of wide receiver Noah Brown, who was standing alone for a touchdown (video here).

The fans in the stadium understandably went nuts. But nobody was more ecstatic than Quinn. The 54-year-old head coach was euphoric after Brown made the catch, jumping up and down and sharing a moment with linebacker Frankie Luvu.

The Commanders led 12-0 late into the third quarter and looked like they were about to cruise to a victory. The Bears came roaring back with a touchdown to end the third and another to take the lead with 25 seconds left in the contest. But on Sunday, the football gods clearly favored the Commanders.

Daniels finished 21/38 for 326 yards and a touchdown in the 18-15 Commanders win. His counterpart Caleb Williams went 10/24 for 131 yards.
